About Me
I have been practising holistic medicine for over ten years. I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for two years and Homeopathy for a year in the UK before travelling to India to take exams in Ayurveda and Yoga at the Banares Hindu University in Varanasi and the Tilak College in Puna. Upon my return I studied Ayurveda for a further two years under Dr. Frawley. Since then I have continued my professional development under the guidance of respected Ayurvedic practioners such as Vasant Lad and Atreya.
I am currently studying for a degree in Ayurveda at the Middlesex University in London in order to be able to prescribe medicine here in the UK. I am a member of the APA (Ayurvedic Practitioner Association).
For the last eight years I have been teaching the Swami Satyananda Saraswati Hatha Yoga style to which I have added the astrological system. Once a year I take people with me to India to experience its rich and unique spirituality, to learn more about Ayurveda and Yoga and to enjoy the colours, the life and the ease of this wonderful country.
In my Practice I treat conditions often related to stress and bad diet. These can lead to gastrointestinal diseases like IBS, Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and musculo-skeletal problems. I assess each patient’s individual symptoms and constitution and offer a range of therapies designed to treat the whole person, ranging from dietary advice to restore the body’s natural balance, medicated oil massage or hot herbal applications to relieve physical aches and pains and warm oil head massage to release tension and mental stress.
Welcome
As a holistic practitioner I constantly experience how Yoga and Ayurveda empowers individuals and gives them an understanding of their bodies and emotions.
In my consulting room I often see big changes in people within weeks, whether on a physical or emotional level, or just through improved self-knowledge. Unconscious destructive patterns and behaviours are released through greater self awareness and the patient’s life force is able to heal and invigorate them so that they can follow their true path.
